Almost Three – Bryson Allen

IMG_5501-2

We had an early Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday.  The weather was just perfect.  Can you believe it's November and we didn't even need a jacket?  Bryson was in major need of a nap and was having meltdowns at almost every turn.  He did join in on a 'game' of football and was happy as long as he had the ball.  I was able to capture him totally in his element and the lighting was beautiful.  These photos are just so him and I love that I caught him having a blast and then having a fit too.  So … [Read more...]

Soaking Up the Last Few Days of Outdoor Play

IMG_5229-1

We were blessed with great weather last week.  By that I mean, great weather for November.  Some days didn't even require a jacket.  We made sure to take the kids out each day to soak up the last few days of outside play.  Today has been rainy and messy, so it may be a while before they get to play outdoors again. One day last week I walked out to find the scene below.  My husband had hooked the wagon up to Bryson's gator and the kids were having so much fun.  I love that our wagon has … [Read more...]

Fall Fair 2011 Recap

Fair 2011 2

He'll be three in December and he becomes a little more independent each day.  I was browsing through photos from the past month and I noticed a theme- he's always helping whether he's helping his daddy work or helping himself to chocolate milk.  Before long, … [Read more...]

Indoor & Outdoor Fun (Toy Reviews)

It is HOT.  I’m sure you knew that already, but I just wanted to make sure.  We usually spend a lot of time outdoors during the summer, but it’s so hot that even Bryson says “I wanna go in, mom.  It’s too hot!”  So, you can guess that we’ve been cooped up in the house.  We do spend about 2 hours outside in the evenings, but that’s about it.  Hello Fall.  Where art thou? Since we’ve spent so much time inside lately, I’ve Bryson has had the chance to play with some … [Read more...]

The “Terrific” Twos Aren’t So Terrible

A couple weeks ago, I was checking out at the grocery store.  Bella was hanging out in the Ergo and just being her sweet self.  The cashier commented on her (and her head full of hair, of course) and I guess I said something about how sweet she is..  I don’t remember exactly what I said, but the cashier responded with “Just wait until she’s TWO!”  She said it like it’s the worst thing. Ever.  I responded with “Oh, I have a two year old son.”  What did she shoot back?  … [Read more...]
