From House to Home

A Room Makeover for me… and YOU! #GliddenGallons

After the great news I received Thursday, I couldn’t help but hint around that something awesome was coming for my readers too.  I didn’t want to share until I had the full details and now, I do.  But first, let me introduce you to my laundry room.

Laundry Room.  Pantry.  Entry way.  Shoes.  Outerwear.  Cleaning supplies.  Mail station.  Donations piles.  Phones.  Routers.  Brooms.  Mops.  Tools.  Seasonal décor.  Fans.  Heaters.  Anything incoming or outgoing.  It’s ALL in this room.  This room needs to be a work-horse of a room.  Instead, it’s just completely dysfunctional.

Walmart Paint Makeover

The kicker?  Almost everyone uses the door that leads into our laundry room when they come over to visit.  So, they are greeted with a pile of laundry, cans of food in their face, and a floor that is always full.  That is definitely NOT the first impression I want folks to have of my home.

Yes, I am embarrassed to show you what it looks like.  Totally embarrassed.  But with such a craptastic before, you know that the after will rock your socks off.  And since my laundry room is going to be awesome, I might even wash those socks for you.

Glidden Paint Laundry Makeover

Thanks to the folks over at Glidden and Walmart, it’s about to change.  Big time change. We are replacing our “pantry” with an actual cabinet, so our food isn’t out for everyone to see.  The door and trim will receive a fresh coat of white paint, the walls are going turquoise, and we’re going to accent with red.  I’m going shopping at Walmart for supplies and we’ll be hitting up all things organizing!

I talk about my plans and announce the big giveaway in my video.  Let me just tell y’all that vlogging is totally out of my comfort zone.  I’m Alabama born and raised and my accent totally proves that.  So, I hope you can understand me, haha.

This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias.  All thoughts & opinions are my own, as always!

This giveaway has now ended and the winner (Julie from Eggs & Herbs) has been contacted directly via e-mail.
