Stormy Weather & Homemade Bread

The past few days have been stormy here.  Sunday night, we were awakened by thunder and a crying toddler.  Bryson didn’t know what to think.  Every time it thunders, he crawls under a blanket.  We let him go back to sleep in our bed and Justin had to get ready for work in the dark.  I did remember that Bryson had a battery operated lantern in his room so that helped.

Our power is off again today.  I was right in the middle of getting a loaf of bread going and everything shut off.  I waited for over an hour while my bread rose and finally packed up and headed to my parents house to finish it.  Thankfully, the bread had already made it through the dough cycle, so I just popped it in the oven and it turned out great.  If you’d like the recipe, this is the one I used.  Keep in mind that I did finish mine in the oven, so I can’t say how it will turn out if you cook it in a bread machine.  I will definitely make this recipe again though!

Bella’s nursery has turned out gorgeous.  I can’t walk by her door without opening it and taking a peek.  I love the color and the way the furniture turned out.  I am hoping her chandelier arrives this week, so we can install it soon.  Our newest nursery sponsor is LightCatcher Curtains and I cannot wait until those arrive and are put up.  I started sorting through her clothes this week and I’ll have to share some of my favorite etsy sellers soon.

We are surrounded by storms today, so I am hoping they pass with no damage.  The weather man just said the tornados are headed our way.  Sundays storms left quite a bit of damage, so keep those families in your thoughts.

I hope y’all are having a great week!
