Dinosaur Train is a favorite around our house.  I know the theme song by heart.  We watch the show on PBS, we watch it on Netflix, and we read our Dinosaur Trains books at least once a week.  I even made some rainbow Dinosaur Train cupcakes.  Most recently, we added a new Dinosaur Train book to our book shelf.  It’s called “The Spooky Scavenger Hunt” and we received it just in time for some fun Halloween bedtime reading.

This simple storybook is perfect for reading aloud to your toddlers.  Don’t let the title fool you; there is nothing in this book that will scare your babies.  “Mr. Pteranodon is taking Buddy and Tiny on a nighttime trip to the Big Pond for a spooky nature walk! Mr. Pteranodon and the conductor insist they can’t be scared, but when the conductor’s mom jumps out at them, everyone gets a good scare!”

New Halloween episodes of Dinosaur Train and Sid the Science Kid will be airing on PBS this month.   Dinosaur Train: Haunted Roundhouse/ Big Pond Pumpkin Patch premieres 10/20 with repeats on the 24th, 28th, 30th, and 31st.  We are looking forward to this one!  The premiere episode of Sid the Science Kid: Spooky Science Special airs 10/17 with repeats on 25th, 28th, 30th, and 31st.
