The Yankee Doodle Sing-a-ma-jig

Sing-a-ma-jigs were everywhere last Christmas.  Every time I browsed toys online for Bryson, they popped up in every color.  I never ordered one, because I’m just not usually a fan of stuffed animals, even cute singing ones.

After receiving one a few weeks ago for the kids, I thought it was cute and that Bryson would probably take right up with it.  *ahem*  He’s actually scared of it when it talks.  Which is weird, because the kid isn’t scared of anything.  The longer we have it, the more willing Bryson is to be around it, but for the most part?  He wants nothing to do with the Sing-A-Ma-Jig.  I would have never expected that, so it just goes to show how much mom knows.  The first time I showed it to Bella, it scared her and she immediately started screaming..  So, I’m 0 for 2 when it comes to the ever so popular Sing-A-Ma-Jigs.  After having owned one, I honestly don’t see the big deal about them.  I really wanted to like them, a lot more than I do, but I just can’t.  I think maybe you need more than one to get the full effect and enjoy them?

You can see one in action in this video and decide for yourself!

Judging by the reviews online, my kids and I are in the minority.  Almost all Sing-a-ma-jigs on Amazon have 4.5 out of 5 stars with lots of reviews.

Have you ever thought “oh, my kid will love this” and have the opposite reaction?

We received this Sing-a-ma-jig free of charge in exchange for our honest review.  No other compensation was provided and all opinions remain my own, as always.
