Favorite Jogging Strollers ?

When Bryson was just a few months old, I realized we needed an all-terrain jogging stroller.  Our run-of-the-mill stroller was going to wear out in no time if we kept taking it on walks around the lake and camping.  Since Bella has arrived, I’ve come to the conclusion that a double jogging stroller would be fantastic.  I won’t say must-have, because we’ve made it through 5 months without one.  I’ve wished for one on almost every outing though.

Schwinn Stroller

I browsed jogging strollers for hours before finally deciding on one with Bryson.  I bought a Schwinn, which was on the lower ends as far as prices were concerned.  If I remember correctly, I paid around $200 for it.  We have been super pleased with it and have used it for over two years now.  The only thing that would make it better is if it had an adapter for children’s car seats.  By the time we started using it, Bryson was big enough that he could sit in it alone.

We haven’t bought a double stroller yet and at this point, we probably won’t.  Bryson prefers to walk now, so it would be waste of  money.  When I take the kids out by myself, a double stroller would come in handy.  If we had bought one 5 months ago, I think it would have been a worth-while purchase, but it’s just almost too late now.  I did notice Schwinn has a double stroller for around $300 which is fairly cheap.  Since I’ve a good experience with our current Schwinn, I’d probably choose to go with it.

What is your favorite stroller?

  • The Schwinn Turismo is probably my favorite swivel jogging stroller, mostly because it’s affordable, and well built. However, if I had my choice, I’d definitely go with the BOB Revolution Swivel Jogging Stroller, although it doesn’t comes with some of the extra’s like the Schwinn, the design itself is beautiful! The BOB offers adjustable shock absorbers, and adjustable tracking, so it’s like the Cadillac of jogging strollers, but it’s also double the price of the Schwinn. So if you’ve got the money, go for the BOB, if not, the Schwinn will get the job done.
