Mom’s Must Have: Bissell Steam Mop

This is probably my favorite cleaning item ever.  I ordered it about a month after we moved in our house and yes, I paid for it, so this is not a sponsored post in any way.  I truly love this product and I think anyone with hard floors will too.

Throughout our entire house, there is tile.  You won’t find carpet or hardwood- just tile.  We love the durability and we got a great deal on it, but it is hard to keep clean.  I imagine that can be said about any type of flooring when you have a toddler.  After living in our house for a few short weeks, I knew that a regular mop wasn’t going to cut it.  After reading reviews, I chose the Bissell Green Tea Steam Mop .

It was ready to go right out of the box.  All you have to do is put one of the reusable microfiber mop pads on, plug it in, and it is heated and ready within thirty seconds.  I am amazed every single time I use it- even after seven months of owning it.  Some of the product features include

I really like that it cleans using steam only.  While I don’t consider myself extremely “green” it is a great perk.  If my floors are dirtier than usual, I will spray them with a multi-surface cleaner before mopping.  This just helps the sticky come up a bit easier, but it definitely isn’t necessary.  Another thing I like is that it comes with not one, but two, reusable microfiber pads.  After using them, I just throw them in the washer and they are ready to go again.  This mop swivels 360 degrees and will clean under almost anything.  I am able to get under my kitchen cabinets with it easily.  Because it weighs less than 7 pounds, I have no problems pushing it around and would consider it light-weight for sure.  Some people complain about their floors being left wet, but I go over mine with a towel, so I haven’t had that problem.  Honestly, I cannot think of a single thing to complain about- I would buy this product again. The best part is that amount of time it saves me.  I have a pretty large eat in kitchen and I can have it mopped in under 10 minutes!
