As part of the Infantino Test Drive program, we recently received the Infantino Ecosash Wrap & Tie Baby Carrier. We already own several baby carriers in different styles, but none like this one.
Right out of the box, I was completely impressed with the style and quality. I love the Bloomin’ Vines pattern. Just in case you don’t like the pattern, that part is reversible, so you can make it just black. It comes inside a mesh bag which you can keep and use for laundering the carrier. I thought that was a nice little extra. The shoulder padding is excellent, definitely comparable to our Ergo. The Ecosash carrier is in my opinion, comparable to the Ergo in several ways. It comes with a detachable hood, has plenty of padding, the waist support is great, and it has a nice cushy bucket seat for baby. The Ecosash carrier holds a child 8-35 pounds and offers three different carrying positions- face-in, face-out, and backpack.
My only complaint is the learning curve. Honestly, I am still working on figuring it out. It comes with instructions, but I think my pregnant brain is working a little slow these days. Bryson will no longer let you put him in a carrier, so I plan to figure it out when Bella Grace arrives. I think (&hope) if you keep working with it, you will eventually get the hang of it and it will be as simple as other carriers.
Overall, this is a well made carrier with great features. I look forward to wearing it when Bella arrives in 2011!
The Ecosash carrier is available at Babies R Us and through September 21st, they are offering $10 off this carrier!
