I am on a mission to find simple ways to go green and also save money. Reusable shopping bags are an easy way to be more eco-friendly. My only problem seems to be remembering the bags. For the longest, I forgot them at home. Now, I have them in the truck, but I still forget to take them in the store! I have 5 total, 3 of which were free through the mail. The other 2 were bought at Walgreen’s as fillers and because they are so cute. If you don’t want to buy a bag, you can use any strong tote you have around the house. If you’d like a free reusable bag to get you started, you can go here to request one.
Also, don’t forget about the free chocolate! I just received two coupons in the mail this week.

>I know what you mean about forgetting the bags – but it becomes like second nature after a while. What I'm still getting used to is the eye rolls from the cashiers when they see me coming. What difference does it make whether you bag into your flimsy, earth-killing plastic bag or my earth conscious, cute bag? You still have to bag!
Okay – sorry – that's really a pet peeve of mine right now! BTW – I tagged you over at my blog today. I hope you'll come check it out.
>I'm always forgetting my bags, too! And don't we always remember halfway through shopping, LOL?
I'm thinking about taking a photo and taping it to my dashboard. But then again, I will probably forget to look at the photo…
>I guess I'm not alone in forgetting the bags…. When my oldest son was a wee babe (he's 14 now), the grocery store I went to actually gave me 5 cents for every bag I brought in – I loved it! More and more stores should be doing that. We've played around with the whole plarn-thing utilizing the old plastic bags & knitting them into new bags, but frankly I'm just tired of them. Love to hear others are using "cute eco-bags" and braving the glares of the cashiers!!
>following from mbc..hope you follow back.
>We always forget our bags in the car and walk out of the store with our arms full lol. It's weird to me tho that someone would get a dirty look for bringing their own bag, that is definitely not the case in my town!
>I have so much trouble remembering the bags too! I have them in the van and still forget them. I wish I could give you a idea!
