I’ve found that in order to start my day off right, I have to end it on a good note. For me, that means cleaning up the kitchen, putting everything away, making sure the dishes are going, and preparing the coffee for in the morning. Speaking of which, we are using generic brand coffee right now, because I keep forgetting to buy coffee. It’s definitely better than no coffee at all, but not by much.
There is nothing worse than waking up to a messy house. It makes my mood go downhill before the day has even started. I’d rather stay up a few minutes later at night cleaning then wake up to the mess. My kids seem to be waking up earlier these days, so I may need to try some new gourmet brands like Caffe Vergnano or Klatch Coffee to get me going. I wonder if my French Vanilla creamer would go well with those? Speaking of that, I’m also out of it. Are you catching on that a trip to the grocery store is in my very near future?
If the babies sleep in, I grab a cup of coffee and check my e-mail and Facebook first thing every morning. Bella is an extremely light sleeper, so I use that as my excuse. “Well, I guess I better check Facebook since I can’t really do anything else, because I might wake the baby.” It’s true though!
Normally? Bella wakes up grinning, then Bryson joins us in the bed and tells me he wants to dance. By that, he means that he wants me to turn on some music so we can boogie. (Do people still say “boogie”?) Or he’ll tell me it’s “Sunday.” Every day is “Sun” day to Bryson if the sun is shining. You have to love how literal a 2 year old can be.
I can’t think of a better way to start my day…
How do you start your day?
