31 Day Challenge

Photo & Prompt Challenge: Day 5

my day
written as Sunday’s POV

I wish I had something fun and exciting to talk about, but alas, my Sunday has been filled with puke..  Bryson got in bed to cuddle with me this morning.  After hearing him make some unusual noises, I looked over to see that he was holding a mouth full of vomit.  So not a fun way to start the day!  He is usually a very energetic kid, but he has been in the bed or on the couch most of the day.  He didn’t want to eat or drink anything this morning.  We finally managed to get a popsicle in him.. then he immediately puked it right back at us.  A bath is usually his favorite. thing. ever.  Not so when he is sick.  We held off as long as possible, but once the puke smell starts to overtake the house- it’s time to put the kid in the tub.  He cried at first, but finally decided he liked it and actually stayed in for a while… until he puked.  Again.

After his bath, he seemed to feel better.  He started asked for cereal and while I wouldn’t have given it to him, his dad did.  He ate three bowls and wanted another, but opted for some marshmallows instead.  I told hubby that if he pukes again after all that food- it’s on him.  I am so not cleaning that up!

Nap time has come and gone and Bryson is feeling just as bad as he was this morning.  Only now, I think he also has a fever and I can’t get him to take Tylenol.  We’ve had another round of puking and another bath.  He is currently laying in bed watching cartoons.  I feel horrible for the little guy!  Hubby isn’t feeling too well either, says he’s hurting all over.  I’m hoping it isn’t the flu.  Bryson & I both received the flu shot, but hubby chooses not too. I hope this week gets better instead of worse.
