I don’t know about you, but I am very excited for Halloween this year. It will be our first year to go trick-or-treating with Bryson. I picked up a super cute Old Navy chicken costume for him to wear and I can’t wait to see him out and about in it. A few questions that have crossed my mind though. The first was the which costume question and we have taken care of that. The second is figuring out which houses we will visit and how far we are willing to travel. The third is what treats we should give out at our home.
With childhood obesity on the rise, we don’t exactly want to give out junk food and candy. Of course, children wouldn’t be very thrilled to reach in the treat bowl and come out with a granola bar or an apple either. It is all about compromise. Thankfully, the folks over at Trick or Treat Me understand. They offer a solution that moms and kids will love. It is something that kids love and it’s healthy! What is it? Chocolate milk! You don’t have to sit on your porch with a pitcher of milk though; you can pick up single serve, shelf stable cartons.
To explain how this can really work, they have offered the following information.
1. Kids love chocolate milk.
2. Chocolate milk in shelf stable cartons can be kept in the pantry and refrigerated when needed.
3. It is milk in the same “box” you already know and trust, and it doesn’t contain preservatives.
4. The cartons are mainly made from paper, a renewable resource that can be replenished – plus, they have a low carbon footprint and are recyclable.
