Summer Bucket List – Family Friendly

We made our first ever family summer bucket list last summer.   We didn’t do everything listed, but we had so much fun with the things we did do.  I know that this summer will be even better.  Our baby girl is now a toddler and Bryson is getting to be such a big boy.  It’s easier to go out and I look forward to another fun-filled summer!

I didn’t categorize our list like last year, instead I just typed everything as it popped into my head.  It’s possible that I’ll update the list with more ideas and I’ll add links to relevant posts.  Some things are simple like taking a walk around the lake while others will require preparation and work like making a water table out of an old sink.  Hubby finished up that project today, so I’ll try to have it posted soon.  If you want a sneak peek, there are some photos of the water table on my Facebook page.  It’s really awesome- my husband rocked it!

  • The Freeze is great!! Olivia loved it!! There were several people at the tornado memorial when we drove through rainsville this afternoon. I haven’t been strong enough to go yet, it hits a little too close to home, literally.
You have a lot of great ideas on your list, i may steal a few. Sounds like u got a busy summer.
And hey, did i mention to u about letterboxing kids?? sounds kind of neat, but i haven’t learned all about it yet.

  • Your list looks almost identical to ours! And I look forward to hearing more about the outdoor water bed…sounds really neat!

  • […] Menu Plan, Week of May 27 May 29, 2012 By Whitney Leave a Comment After 3 hours of fitful sleep, I decided to throw in the towel and face the morning… at 4:30AM.  Considering that I am not a morning person at all, even I am surprised.  It was just one of those nights where my brain refused to shut off.  It was another beautiful weekend and a long one at that.  I hope you had a fabulous Memorial day and took a bit of time to remember what it is really all about.  We spent time with our friends and family at the campground, out on the boat, relaxing and chatting and grilling, making memories, and checking things off our summer bucket list.
