This post is part of a challenge I’ve set for myself- to blog every. single. day. during the month of November, sharing something or someone that I am thankful for each day. Feel free to join along and/or share what you are thankful for in the comments.
My parents have a beautiful yard full of trees. That means one thing during the fall- lots and lots of leaves. My dad had the idea to get out his leaf blower and make a gigantic pile of leaves for the kids to play in together. He blew the leaves in pile while Justin raked. By the time they were finished, the pile was massive.
The kids played hide & seek, had leaf fights, buried themselves, threw the leaves all around, and had an absolute blast.
Justin joined them in the pile too. I love the pure joy on their faces as they watch their Daddy throw leaves in the air. So today, I’m thankful for leaves. Beautiful fall leaves and seeing the world through a child’s eyes. I’m also thankful for my dad, who is a kid at heart and came up with the idea of the leaf pile, just so he could watch his grand-kids have fun. Thanks, Pop!
