Eddie Bauer Trail Hiker 3-Wheel Travel System Review

It’s no secret that I am a big fan of babywearing, but that isn’t to say we never use a stroller.  We certainly do!  I especially like using a stroller when we are going somewhere that involves a lot of walking and lugging a diaper bag (with all but the kitchen sink inside) around.  When we attend all day events, we are sure to carry a stroller.  The Eddie Bauer Trail Hiker 3-Wheel Travel System offers great features at an affordable price.  There are three colors available- grey, blue, and red.

Eddie Bauer Trail Hiker Travel System

The Eddie Bauer Trail Hiker 3-Wheel Travel System comes almost fully assembled.  You have to attach the front and back wheels, the parent tray, and the child tray.  That’s it and you are ready to go for a stroll!  I assembled this stroller with both Bryson (4) and Bella (2) right under me while Justin was at work.  The directions are clear and you don’t need any special tools (needle-nose pliers do come in handy), so it’s simple and easy.

We’ve owned a few strollers and this is the first one with a dual front wheel.  I really like that feature.  The front wheel also swivels or it can be locked.  Once you get used to using a stroller with a swivel front wheel, it’s hard to go back to a locked wheel so I was glad to see that included too.  The swivel wheel makes it much easier to navigate tight spaces and make turns.  The wheels are not filled with air, so this isn’t considered at all-terrain stroller, but I’m confident that it will hold up to normal daily activities.  I tested it in our yard and on our gravel drive and I feel like it can handle most terrain with very little problems.

The parent handle on the stroller offers three different setting to accommodate parents of different heights.  Simply push in on the silver circular buttons at each end of the handle to easily raise and lower.  The parent tray features two cup holders and a compartment for keys or a phone.  I appreciate that it has place for the headphones cord, so you can keep your phone or mp3 player protected while still being able to wear headphones or ear-buds.   The silver button piece you see on the handle is your folding button.  You have to push and slide it simultaneously to fold the stroller.  At the bottom of the stroller is the storage basket.  It will fit a decent sized diaper bag, but that is about it.  As long as you have everything you need packed in your diaper bag, you should have plenty of space.  It’s actually quite easy to get to even with the seat fully reclined, so that is very helpful.  The material of both the stroller and the car seat is easy to clean and comfortable which is a must for those inevitable spills.
