My Love Affair with a Bedding Set…

I know some people that can live with the same bedding for years…. I am NOT one of those people.  Since moving in our home in February, I have already switched bedding twice.  The longest I think I have lasted with the same bedding set is about a year.  I found one a few months ago that I have been meaning to show you guys.   I ran across this beauty at our local Goodwill and it was brand new in the package.  I paid $25 which may seem a bit steep for Goodwill, but it is excellent quality and just absolutely gorgeous.  So gorgeous, in fact, that I will probably use it for years to come.  It came with 2 shams, 2 European shams, 2 decorative pillows, a bedskirt, AND the comforter.  All for $25!

It was originally from Target, but I couldn’t find it on their website anymore.  Did you know that Goodwill gets truck-loads of Target stuff?  Some of it is scratch & dent items, some of it is returns, some are just clearance items that never sold.  I am thinking this was probably a return, because I can’t imagine it making it to clearance and there was NOTHING at all wrong with it.  We don’t have a Target near, so I take my love affair with Target to our Goodwill to get my fix.

Another great thing about this set is that it is machine washable.  I have washed it a few times and it comes out in excellent condition every. single. time.  I love that!  I would hate to have a dry-clean only set with a toddler.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that I went back the next week & they had put out a matching rug.  I am not sure of the dimensions, but it is about the size of our queen size bed.  There was nothing wrong with it either and I think I paid $20 or $25 for it.  So, for $50, my bedroom got a make-over
