For this blog hop, we are sharing three things you didn’t know about me. I’m going to share three experiences I had that changed my life and molded me into the person I am today.
- During the summer of 2000, my dad was blown up and severely burned. My mother and I were hours away at a softball tournament. After weeks in the burn unit at Erlanger, he was released. Amazingly, if you didn’t know he was burned, you wouldn’t be able to tell.
- November 19, 2002, my house burned to the ground. We have really bad experiences with fire, if you haven’t caught on. This was probably the most life changing experience I have ever had. It turned me from materialistic to understanding what is really important. It was a hard lesson to learn.
- April 2005, we decided to go to Piegon Forge, TN for our birthdays. While we were away, a hose came off of our refrigerator (in our NEW house) and flooded the downstairs. That made for a not so welcoming return. I walked through the front door and my foot splashed. I realized something was bad wrong.
So, I guess you almost couldn’t blame the insurance company when they dropped us after 20 years… almost.
>Wow, scary stuff! I like your blog!
>Oh wow!! Those are definitely some experiences! Props to you for learning what's really important though!!!
>I love your blog! I don't like insurance companies…that's what they are there for insurance…ugh! I'm glad to hear your father was ok. I found out my uncle had cancer while I was on a softball trip…needless to say we wanted to come back but he told us to win it big for him…we did…:0) Saying hi from the bloghop!
>WOWIE, that's a string of terrible luck. I am so glad to hear that your dad is ok now!
>This is my first blog hop and I'm loving it! :)Horrible luck, but happy endings…your dad made it through.
>Great blog!! So sorry to hear about all of those pretty scary things, but it sounds like everyone got through it ok. That's amazing! 🙂
