Life Changing Experiences

For this blog hop, we are sharing three things you didn’t know about me. I’m going to share three experiences I had that changed my life and molded me into the person I am today.

  1. During the summer of 2000, my dad was blown up and severely burned. My mother and I were hours away at a softball tournament. After weeks in the burn unit at Erlanger, he was released. Amazingly, if you didn’t know he was burned, you wouldn’t be able to tell.
  2. November 19, 2002, my house burned to the ground. We have really bad experiences with fire, if you haven’t caught on. This was probably the most life changing experience I have ever had. It turned me from materialistic to understanding what is really important. It was a hard lesson to learn.
  3. April 2005, we decided to go to Piegon Forge, TN for our birthdays. While we were away, a hose came off of our refrigerator (in our NEW house) and flooded the downstairs. That made for a not so welcoming return. I walked through the front door and my foot splashed. I realized something was bad wrong.

So, I guess you almost couldn’t blame the insurance company when they dropped us after 20 yearsalmost.
