Personal Thoughts

Harvest of Friends Blog Party

I am joining Lynnette over at Dancing Barefoot on Weathered Ground for a kind of getting to know you party.   Feel free to join in and let me know if you do so!

1. What is your favorite thing to snack on while you’re blogging?
I’m not a very picky person.  Give me a box of Cheez Its or some chips and dip.  Go ahead and fix me a bowl of ice cream while you are at it.  Thank you very much.

2. What is one thing you wouldn’t want to live without?
My computer.  Seriously, that and my camera.

3. Beach, Mountains or Farm? Where would you live if you had a choice?
Well, I live in Alabama and although we don’t actually own a farm, I think just living in Alabama covers that.  I would choose the beach over the mountains, if you could guarantee there would be no hurricanes..  Although, I do love the beautiful Smoky Mountains.

4. What’s your least favorite chore/household duty?
All of them?  It is hard to choose between folding & putting up laundry and mopping.

5. Who do people say you remind them of?
Hmmm…. I don’t know.

6. Prefer parties and socializing or staying at home with the fam?
I like a balance.  We go out at least one night every weekend, usually Saturday night, with friends.  On Thursdays, we (Bryson included) go out to a local restaurant and listen to a band.

7. What’s your all time favorite movie?
This is a hard one!  I can’t narrow it down to one, but the first one that comes to mind is A Walk to Remember

8. Do you sleep in your make up or remove it like a good girl every night?
It just depends.  When we go out on Saturday nights, we usually don’t get home until about 3AM, so you can bet I go straight to bed!

9. Do you have a hidden talent or a deep desire to learn something that you’ve never had a chance to learn? What is it?
I have no hidden talents, but there are many things I’d like to learn.  I would like to play a musical instrument like the piano or guitar.   I would also like to take a few photography classes.

10. What’s one strange thing you’re really good at?
I can’t think of anything strange

11. What first attracted you to your spouse?
He was fun.  I was just looking for a good time.  We spent time together as friends for about six months before we started dating.

12. What is something you love to smell?
This is weird, but I actually like the smell of gas.  I also love “Body” by Victoria Secret.

13. Tell something about you that you know irritates people.
I am a HUGE smart-ass and extremely sarcastic.  If you don’t know me well or have never been around me, I usually end up saying something that will piss you off.

14. When you have extra money (HA!) what’s the first thing you think to do with it?
I usually end up spending it on Bryson.  I also like to take it and “invest”.  I like the buy things and sell them on e-bay.  I get my shopping fix and make money off of it.

15. Are you a silent laugher or a loud laugher? What makes you laugh the hardest?
I have never really thought about it.  I’m not very loud, but I am definitely not silent.  I have been known to snort every once in a while.  Videos on You Tube usually crack me up more than anything else.

16. Where is your favorite place to shop?
We have a local store called “Unclaimed Baggage.”  It is a huge tourist attraction and I find the best deals there.  I also like to shop at our local Good Will.  They receive close out Target loads, so that is always fun.

17. What’s one thing you’d do more often if you had more time?
Take long, hot, relaxing bubble baths.

18. Are you a big spender or frugal?
I am frugal and I prefer to spend my money on quality items.

19. Who is your favorite character of all time (from a movie or book)? (Can’t be real)
I can’t think of one.

20. Would you want to be famous?
It would depend what I was famous for, but no, I don’t wake up every morning with the dream of being famous.

Okay folks, that is it for me!  If you are playing along, please leave your link in your comment and I will be sure to visit!

  • >Great answers! I love the Charlie bit my finger video. My son and I could laugh at that for a long time. We even named our cat charlie so we can speak with an english accent when we call him. Jacob doesn't do that but I do.

  • >my girls love that charlie movie. they can all say it perfectly! give me some ice cream while I blog too… so fun!

  • >Hi, Whitney, thank you for stopping by & taking time to leave a note. So nice to meet you too! I love all the AL girls I have met online, what a fun thing to share. I would love to go to Unclaimed Baggage one of these days too.

  • >Hi Whitney!
I'm visiting from the party on my Mom's blog. I completely agree about YouTube vids. My dad hardly ever laughs at YouTube videos and I just can't even fathom that. How!? lol. 😀

I couldn't live without my computer either…as a matter of fact, I can't believe I didn't answer that question with that. o_O I'm a huuuuge computer junkie; I'm on it way too much. lol. My mom's camera is also awesome…I love taking pictures.

Have fun blog hopping! Hope you'll stop by. 🙂

  • >Hi Whitney! I hate laundry too! I wish my house would clean itself! Just stopping by from Lynette's blog hop. I LOVE how bright and cheery your blog is 🙂

  • >Hi Whitney! First of all – I love your name. 🙂

You have an adorable blog. Love all the colors. In fact, I'd say that those colors are all probably my favorite (well, if you take the orange and make it pink!). 🙂

I enjoyed reading about you. You like youtube videos too huh? My kids love them! I only usually really laugh at the "can't stop laughing" videos or the news bloopers – as I said on my 20 answers. I'm not sure why they strike me as so funny, but they do.

You sound like a pretty easy goin' chick! 🙂

Thanks for joining in! It's always so much fun to meet new bloggin' chums.

    Have a peaceful night.

  • >Hi!! Just visiting from Lynnette's blog party!! Enjoyed reading your answers and loved the Charlie video. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!! Blessings!! Kris

  • >Dropped by for the blog party. Enjoyed getting acquainted. I can't believe you have a Bryson in your family! That was my grandfather's name, spelled exactly the same. I don't think I've ever heard of another one before (well, except for his son, my uncle. But I don't think of him as a "Bryson" because he went by his middle name.)

  • >I wonder how many people don't live at the beach because of hurricanes? That and my family are the only reasons I can think of for not being there. I have seen unclaimed baggage stores on the TV and have always wanted to visit one but I have never had the chance. Maybe I'll add that to my bucket list.

  • >Loved reading your answers! I live in AL too! We live in the Huntsville/Decatur area. My hubby taught violin in the Scottsboro area last year, and stopped at Unclaimed Baggage every chance he got 🙂 I've never been, but I think I would love it!

Hope you have a great day!

  • >Hi! I'm stopping by from Lynette's blog party! I loved reading your answers. Laundry seems to be top of the hate list so far!

  • >Hello! Stopping by from the Harvest Party. I heard about Unclaimed Baggage and think I'd have a totally good time shopping there.
