When my husband and I first bought a home and moved in together, we cooked with Knorr Pasta and Rice Sides weekly. I love that their so easy to fix, but they taste delicious. It’s been a while since we’ve purchased the sides, but I didn’t realize it until I had the chance to try out the new Knorr Homestyle Stocks.
Knorr Homestyle Stocks are available in chicken and beef flavors. Each tub makes 3-1/2 cups of broth — a better value than cartons or cans. These work great in soups, skillet dishes, mashed potatoes, and rice dishes. You can find them on the soup aisles with the broths.
This recipe is similar to my easy chicken casserole, but I added rice, Knorr Homestyle Chicken Stock, and adapted it for the slow cooker.
Ingredients
- Cooked, shredded chicken
- 1 large can mixed vegetables
- 1 can cream of celery soup
- 1 tub Knorr Homestyle Chicken Stock
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 2 1/2 cups water
- salt & pepper to taste
Directions
- Combine rice, water, and Knorr Homestyle Chicken Stock in bottom of slow cooker. Allow it to heat up until you can mix in the stock thoroughly.
- Add in chicken, green beans, carrots, and cream of celery soup. Mix well.
- Cook on high for around 3 hours or on low for 5 hours.
This was definitely a winner, but a little bland for my tastes. Next time, I will experiment with adding spices to give it a little kick. Bryson finished off two plates and my husband enjoyed it with hot sauce. I will definitely make it again. I keep cooked, shredded chicken in the freezer, so I love that I can just throw it all in the slow cooker on a hectic day and know that supper will be ready later that night.

I love slow cooker recipes! It make dinner time go so much smoother!
That looks yummy and easy to make! I try and use my slow cooker once a week just to give myself an easy night in the kitchen. Thanks for sharing!
Sounds like something I can make. Will try it. Thanks
It’s fall and I’m breaking out my crockpot so this recipe is definitely going on my list!
This looks good. I will have to add it to my recipes for crockpot cooking this fall. I think I will add in some creole seasoning to give it a little kick though since you mentioned it was bland.
This looks so good! I really need to start using my slow cooker more. I use it like once a year which is just pathetic.
While I prefer to make my own stock and freeze it, this is way easier for those days when I don’t have time or ran out of my homemade stock. My fav thing to do with Knorr is use it in rice to fry in a skillet like they do at Mexican restaurants. YUM!
Yummy! And easy as well. Perfect for a fall evening.
Sounds delicious. Love using my crockpot, especially during on weekdays when things can get a little hectic.
I typically make my own stock, but the commercials for the new stocks have definitely left me intrigued! Your recipe looks so yummy!
Ooh, sounds so tasty!
YUM!

That looks so good, too bad my family doesn’t like new things! 🙁
My family would be in trouble if they didn’t like new things, haha. I try new recipes every week!
I’m always looking for crock pot recipes! This one looks great.
I am always looking for slowcooker meals and ones that are easy. This seems like the best of both worlds!!
