How long were your labors?
Bryson, 12 hours
Bella, 2/5 hours
How did you know you were in labor?
Bryson, induced at 38 weeks (lesson. learned. NEVER again.)
Bella, Woke up with my first contractions 4 minutes apart and they kept steady. An hour later, I decided I must be in real, actual labor.
Where did you deliver?
In the hospital with both.
With Bryson, I let the doctors call the shots.
With Bella, *I* called the shots.
Drugs?
The entire 9 yards with Bryson. I’ve never felt worse in my life. The saddest part is that I was too drugged up to enjoy my newborn right after birth.
Zero with Bella. I’ve never felt better or more awesome. I thought I was a rock birthstar after her birth, ha! I was up walking around and eating breakfast within minutes.
C-section?
No. I’m blessed that my first birth didn’t end in a c-section. Now that I have informed myself, because my doctor sure didn’t, I would never have and will never elect for an induction again. There are just too many risks, IMO.
Who delivered?
Bryson, A doctor that told me I shouldn’t make noises while pushing. *ahem*
Bella, A very sleepy doctor that wasn’t completely awake during her birth. He walked in just in time for me to push her out. Actually, I not so patiently waited on him to get out of bed. By his rounds that evening, he had almost forgotten he “delivered” her. True story.

We’ll be doing a different kind of labor today. We are going to try to finish up our laundry room. Yesterday, we painted the pantry corner and installed the new pantry. Let me tell you, it already looks 100x times better! I can’t wait to show y’all the after!
