Lolly Wolly Doodle – Adorable & Affordable Fashions {$75 Gift Card Giveaway}

LWD Dress Bright Floral Sash Peasant Sleeve Dress

I first heard of Lolly Wolly Doodle through Facebook. In fact, I thought Lolly Wolly Doodle was a Facbook-only business until I had the opportunity to work with them. The Lolly Wolly Doodle Facebook page offers deals and giveaways that are only available for a short period of time because they sell out quickly. On the other hand, the Lolly Wolly Doodle website offers items around the clock. Lolly Wolly Doodle Story One of the things I love about Lolly Wolly Doodle is that it was started by a mom who enjoyed sewing clothes for her young girls as a hobby because she wasn't satisfied with the choices available.  Her hobby became a booming business.  A 19,000 square foot facility is now home to Lolly Wolly Doodle and there are over 100 employees!  It is the largest business in the world transacting on Facebook.  How crazy and cool is that?  When you purchase from Lolly Wolly Doodle, you know that your items are created by folks in North Carolina. We were given the opportunity … [Read more...]

Spring Fashions from Gymboree

Gymboree Tea Time Afternoon Line for Baby Girls

Up until recently, all of our Gymboree clothes were second-hand.  Bella has worn several adorable Gymboree outfits that were given to us used and in great condition which I think speaks volumes about the quality of Gymboree clothing.  I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with a brand we already love and to check out Gymboree's new spring lines! The hardest part of shopping at Gymboree is choosing which collection I want to shop!  For Bella, I finally settled on the Tea Time Afternoon line.  I love the bright, fun colors and how I could easily mix & match the pieces.  The shorts won me over right away, so I picked two different tops to go with them.  Bella is quickly becoming interested in her clothes and wants to pick our her own shoes daily.  When I opened these sandals, she wanted to put them on right then and there.  We've had such rainy, nasty weather that she hasn't had the chance to wear them but once- she still asks almost everyday though! Blossom … [Read more...]

Cute & Comfortable Costumes from Zutano

Zutano Owl Halloween Costume

For our trip to the Halloween Eerie Express & Fun House, I dressed Bella is the cutest little costume outfit from Zutano. I didn't want to put her in a big fluffy costume for the event and I've been head over heels for the adorable owls from Zutano, so it worked perfectly. The folks at Zutano have put together some simple ideas for infant and toddler costumes.  They sent us the baby-girls infant owl costume crafting set and it's not just for Halloween.  Bella will be wearing this outfit throughout fall and winter!  I love the fun owl print on the pants and that when can mix & match the shirt with other bottoms we already own. The kit comes with everything you need- a peasant top, pants, and a Cozie hat.   A crafting set is included so you can turn the cozie hat into an owl- 3 sheets of felt, patterns, and instructions.  I'm not crafty at all when it comes to material and clothing, but the hat was so easy to complete.  I had clear gel tackly glue on hand and it worked … [Read more...]

Bella’s Halloween Costume for 2012 – Emily the Owl

Emily the Owl Costume, Owl, Halloween 2012

I've loved owls since I became pregnant with Bella.  In fact, her nursery has an owl theme.  I wanted to dress her up as an owl last year for Halloween, but all of the cute owl costumes were too expensive for my tastes.  I can't see spending $50 or $60 on a costume for one night!  I was so excited to find this adorable Emily the Owl costume this year for $35 at WholesaleCostumes.com.  They have a great selections of costumes for infants, kids, men, and women from superheros to adorable animals. The Emily the Owl costume is beyond cute. It comes with the owl bodysuit, pink leggings, and the owl hood with ears and a pink bow.  For Halloween night, we'll probably add a plain long sleeve shirt under the bodysuit and some tights for extra warmth.  This costume is so super soft and I love all the different patterns and owls featured on the belly. The fit is true to size.  I chose the 18-24 month for Bella and it fits great.  The leggings are little loose, but I think adding … [Read more...]

Fall Shopping at CookiesKids.com

CookiesKids.com Hello Kitty Sweatsuit

I thought I had finished the kid's fall clothing shopping a few weeks ago.  When it all arrived though, I quickly realized that Bella's tiny little body will not hold up any of her jeans, even with the adjustable waist bands.  She'll probably grow into them this winter, but that left me in a predicament for the fall.  She needed a few more pair of bottoms and they'd have to be stretchy.  I decided to check out CookiesKids.com and quickly spotted Hello Kitty.  That was all I needed to see- we can always use more Hello Kitty. Using Alva Kids icon, I was able to enter Bella's measurements and find the right size for her.  All I had to do was enter her gender, height, and weight and Alva Kids suggested a size 18 months for the Hello Kitty pink sequined sweatsuit.  I think the Alva Kids tool is very handy, especially when your child is in between sizes like Bella seems to be right now.  She'll be two in January, but size 2T is still a tad big for her and the size 18 months fit … [Read more...]

Dinosaur Train Halloween – #Giveaway

Dinosaur Train Tiny costume

Dinosaur Train is one of the first shows Bryson ever asked to watch and he still enjoys it.  We have several Dinosaur Train books featuring Tiny, Shiny, Buddy and the clan.  Now he has a Dinosaur Train Tiny costume too.  Bryson loves to dress up and regularly asks to wear costumes, so we keep them around even when it's not Halloween.  He wants the Dinosaur Train Buddy costume now too! The Tiny costume is very nice and much better quality that I expected.  It comes in four pieces- two shoe covers, the costume body, and the head.  All are easy to put on, the body is similar to a sleeper. The head piece is a bit on the heavy side and flops around, so Bryson will leave it off sometimes and play without it. It's made of fleece so  it's sure to keep little ones warm in cooler weather. We received the Dinosaur Train Tiny costume is a size 3-4.  As you can see, it's a bit small on Bryson.  He currently wears a 4T so if you aren't sure which size to order, I would suggest going … [Read more...]

Bella’s Just Jen Custom Halloween Shirt

Just Jen Halloween Custom Shirt

Bella's very first custom shirt came from JustJen.com.  There is just something so special about seeing your daughter's name on a shirt.  I love dressing the kids in seasonal clothing so I couldn't resist the super cute Halloween shirts from Just Jen.  We've had great experiences with Just Jen custom shirts.  They wash well and the rhinestones stay in place wash after wash. I chose the Halloween Witch Hat Shirt for Bella.  There are 9 shirt choices available in a variety of colors.  For Bella's shirt, I went with the long sleeve black Tshirt.  Her name is in peridot colored rhinestones- just one of the eleven colors available.  The witch hat comes in amethyst (purple) and sun (orange) rhinestones. Once again, I am impressed with the quality of Just Jen custom shirts.  The colors are beautiful and vibrant!  Bella is wearing a size 2 here and it fits perfectly.  Just Jen shirts run on the small size, so always be sure to order a size up to ensure you get a great … [Read more...]
