Holiday Preparations with Bissell Steamboost Steam Mop #Giveaway {Holiday Gift Guide}

As if the upcoming holiday season wasn’t chaotic enough, we are going to have a new baby sometime within the next 2.5 weeks and we’ll also be celebrating Bryson’s 5th birthday on December 10th.  To help prepare for the holiday season, the folks at Swiffer sent us their new Steamboost steam mop.  It was perfect timing since I’m in full-force nesting mode right now.  Over the weekend, I washed the last of the baby clothes, brought out the baby gear, rearranged furniture, vacuumed, and mopped.

Kitchen Steam Mop Review Bissell Steamboost

When I say that the kitchen is the heart of our home, I sincerely mean that in more ways than one.  It’s multifunctional in that it is also our dining room and my office.  We spend the majority of our time in the kitchen- cooking, enjoying meals, building LEGOs and painting at the dining room table, working on this blog, etc.  It’s a high traffic room.  Because it’s such a busy room, it’s also quick to become messy and our tile floors see a lot of dirt and spills.  For almost 3 years, I’ve used the Bissell Green Tea Steam Mop to keep my floors clean.

It goes without saying after 2.5 years of using the same steam mop every week, I am a Bissell believer!  That’s why I was so excited to partner with a brand that already use and test out the new Swiffer Bissell Steamboost Steam Mop.  I wasn’t sure what to expect because I’m a “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” type of gal, but the new Swiffer Bissell Steamboost is quite different than my original Bissell steam mop and definitely has it’s place.  Right out of the box, the Steamboost steam mop was simple to put together.  Each piece snaps together and you are ready to go.  The first thing I noticed was how lightweight this steam mop was and I wondered if it would take the same beating my other Bissell has taken.  I’m clumsy and I drop things a lot- a mop is no exception.  I can’t even begin to guess how many times I’ve dropped or knocked over my mop.  I’ll be sure to update after I’ve used the Swiffer Bissell Steamboost and let y’all know how it’s help up to my clumsiness.

Swiffer Bissell Steamboost Steam Mop Revie

This steam mop is different because it uses disposable Steam pads instead of reusable cloth pads.  The Swiffer pads are scented and I am a huge fan of both the Open Window Fresh scent and the Febreze® Lavender Vanilla & Comfort™ scent.  The pads alone give my house a clean smell while I’m mopping and the added scent makes the job a little more enjoyable.  My favorite thing about the Steamboost is that the steam pads cleaning solution on them so I have to use less steam than with my other mop.  Just a squeeze here and there activates the dirt-dissolving solution and the special steam pads lock the dirt in so you aren’t just pushing it around.  Because the steam pads work so well, I don’t have to go back and manually dry my floors like with other mops.  By the time I finish mopping a room, it’s almost completely dry.

Messes Spills Steam Mop Review
Dried & sticky spills are no match for the Steamboost steam mop!

Using the Swiffer Bissell Steamboost Steam Mop could not be easier.  Slip a pad onto the bottom tucking in the sides, fill the tank with water, plug it in, and 30 seconds later, you are ready to mop!  You don’t have to put a lot of effort into it and it’s easy on the back.  At 37 weeks pregnant, I mopped our entire house over the weekend.  The swivel head makes it a breeze to get into those tight spaces like behind the toilet and under cabinets.   It handled coffee spills, stuck-on jelly messes, and paint like it was nothing.

You can purchase the Swiffer Bissell Steamboost starter kit for $49.99 online at Amazon.com or at your local retailer.  Steam pad refills are also available with a 20 count retailing for $9.99.
