Turbo in 3D & Bryson’s First Video Review – Turbo Zip Line Stunt Race Playset

Saturday night, we took Bryson and Bella to see Turbo in 3D.  Bryson had been to a theater once before, but this was Bella’s first time.  We had no idea how they would act throughout the movie.  Bryson has been super excited for Turbo since we received a few Turbo toys for review.  The >Turbo Zip Line Stunt Race Playset comes with one shell racer and you can purchase others separately.  He liked the set so much that he wanted to create a video and share it on YouTube.  It’s a around 3 minutes long and if you watch, you’ll see that I encouraged him to wrap it up, but he wanted to keep going.  Bryson totally impressed me with this!  It was his idea and you can tell from his introductions that he has been watching other kids on YouTube.  After this take, he asked me to take another shoot, haha.  I have a feeling you’ll be seeing video reviews from him again!

He has enjoyed playing with the Turbo Zip Line set over the past week and we’ve watched several Turbo movie trailers gearing up for the weekend.  Both Bryson and Bella acted great throughout the movie and our entire family loved it!  We’ll be buying it as soon as it comes out on DVD.  Not only was Turbo entertaining for the kids and adults, but I love the theme of the movie- DREAM BIG!

I snapped this with my iPhone before the movie began.

I’m so glad Justin and I decided to take them to see Turbo.  It was a fantastic first theater outing for us as a family and we won’t hesitate to take them back.  They are growing up and it’s so awesome to be able to go and experience new things with them now.  That said, when did it become to expensive to go see a movie!?  We were astonished at the prices!  By the time we bought popcorn and drinks, we had spent over $50.  I remember when I went to the movies as a kid (which wasn’t that long ago) and it was no where near that expensive.

Turbo Coloring Pages

I found some fun Turbo coloring pages for kids that I wanted to share with y’all!

Have you watched Turbo yet?  Do you plan to see it soon?

We received the Turbo Zip Line Stunt Race Playset for review, but all opinions remain my own.  We paid our way in the movie and I was not asked to post about Turbo in 3D.

  • Great job Bryson! Glad you all had a great time at the movies. Yes, it is incredibly expensive. The drive in is much cheaper, but it’s too much of a hassle for me. My sister loves to go though and take as many kids as possible. BTW… Scottsboro theater has free popcorn on Tuesday nights. You bring your own bowl and they fill it if you buy a drink, but it’s only after 7pm which makes for a late weeknight with kids.

    • We thought about going to the drive-in, but I’m not sure Bryson and Bella would stay still and pay attention there just yet. Thanks for the tip about Scottsboro!

  • I think my son would enjoy this movie, too. Movies are expenaive so we always try to catch the first showing in the day when the tickets are the cheapest. They have been showing a lot of free drive-in movies arpund my city and the summer movies in the theater here are only a dollar but they aren’t new releases. My son watched Bryson’s review with me and now keeps asking to buy the play set Lol. He did a good job for his first review!

  • We loved Turbo! I was excited to see the toy inspired from the racing scene, but I feel like it will eventually become a dust collector. We made our OWN zip line for a fraction of the cost and my 4-year-old loved it! 🙂
