I’m thrilled to share that the all-new VeggieTales: The Penniless Princess DVD will be released on August 14. We had the opportunity to watch it last week and it lived it up to my expectations. The VeggieTales gang is always welcome in our home and I enjoy spending time with the kids, cuddled up on the couch, watching wholesome movies. I can always rely on the VeggieTales movies to teach values and offer life lessons that even little ones can understand.
As with all VeggieTales movies, I had an “aha!” moment at the very end of The Penniless Princess. She says “God loves us, no matter what, so that we can love others, no matter what.“ That really struck a nerve with me and it was a great reminder of just how loved we are by Him and how we should strive to show that love to others.
The Penniless Princess is a heart-warming story based on the children’s book A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The story features plenty of engaging and fun music fit for families, including the all-new Silly Song “Best Friends Forever.” The DVD helps to teach an important lesson about knowing your own true worth and trusting God no matter what happens in life. DVD bonus features include a special tour of London with the popular French Peas characters, a hilarious look at the history of the Teddy Bear, a discussion guide for parents, and behind-the-scenes clips.

I think Olivia would enjoy the journal. She always wants to write and is on this big “diary” kick. I think the Daystarter Devo would be great for her. Veggie Tales are great! My older 2 had a video game we loved playing together. And as an over protective Mom, I didn’t have to worry about any violence or language, I knew it would be good wholesome fun!
