One of the things I’m most looking forward to this spring and summer is planting a garden. We have BIG plans- maybe a little too big, but our motto is “Go big or go home!” so we are going big. I can already feel the warmth of the sun on my face and the ache in my back. I can also imagine two little faces covered in dirt and two helpers right under foot. The kids and I got a very small taste of the gardening life yesterday with the Gigglin’ Garden Gang kit. It was a little windy out, but Bryson enjoyed planting.
Visit the Gigglin’ Garden Gang site to purchase. Click the “Shop” tab on the left and it will take you to a page with their products. From there, you’ll be taken to Amazon. I shop with Amazon almost weekly, so I like the simplicity of ordering. I bought the “Go Green and Giggle” Book & Tote Garden Activity Gift Set. Within 2 days, our kit was waiting for us at home!
Gigglin’ Garden kit includes:
- “Go Green & Giggle” book/song CD
- Indoor/outdoor starter kit (greenhouse) to grow sunflowers
- Seeds and magic soil pellets
- Eco-friendly tote made of post recycled material
The steps are very easy to follow and it only takes a few minutes. Add water, watch as your soil expands, then sow the seed. That’s it! Bryson did everything himself (he’s 3) with my guidance. Bella Grace (1) wanted to help and has to taste everything.
We used a similar greenhouse kit last year to grow fresh herbs, but I love that the Gigglin’ Garden Gang comes with a book. Bryson loves books and having “Sunflower Suzie” to read about makes it so much more fun for him. We planted our Sunflower seeds in the greenhouse kit and are waiting for them to sprout now. We’ve decided to plant to them where Tucker (our dog) is buried.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with this kit. I’d love to see them introduce other types of flowers or maybe some vegetables and herbs. If you have a preschool age child or above, I think the Gigglin’ Garden Gang is the perfect learning experience. It’s hands-on and once those sunflowers start to grow, your child will feel so accomplished. I can’t wait to see the look on Bryson’s face when we get our first sunflower.
I put together a video of us (all 3 of us!) planting our sunflower seeds from the Gigglin’ Garden Gang kit. If you need a laugh or just a taste of life with two littles, then I think you’ll enjoy it! It just goes to show how easy this kit is to use if we can do it with no major mishaps- only Bella putting the soil in her mouth, haha.

Yea, how fun is this! My garden plans are always a bit large too, looks like you had fun!
I love this and I love how easy the kit is to use. What a great lesson you are teaching your children. And a little dirt never hurts! It’s all good! I hope your gardens all grow fabulously!
Your kids are adorable! We also have big plans for our garden, probably more than we can handle but I’m looking forward to it. It looks like you guys had a lot of fun!
Too cute! I love the video and your pictures are awesome! Looks like you all had so much fun!
My little one always somehow gets the dirt in her mouth too!!! LOL I love the gigglin garden gang! Great job! http://bubblynaturecreations.com/2012/03/gigglin-garden-gang-cbias-gogreenngiggle.html
Oh, this would be great with veggie seeds, too! Let them grow their own lima beans!
AH! I can’t believe she put it in her mouth! How stinking cute is she though? Makes it pretty easy to forgive her I bet. 😉

Awesome photos! Love them! My little guy is 19 months and he is outgrowing the putting everything in his mouth stage, but it is amazing what the will and do try to “eat”.
Great post. We garden with our kids too, it’s so good for them on so many levels. Plus, it gets them to eat their veggies. 🙂 http://www.akronohiomoms.com/activities/get-your-kids-to-eat-their-vegetables-with-growums-kids-garden-kits/
