Miss Bella has been feeling left out lately. It seems like every time we make something, it isn’t safe for her to play with because she wants to taste everything. This peanut butter play dough recipe turned out to be perfect for her and I loved that watching sister and brother play together. With the homemade slime and the original play dough recipes out, I decided it was time to make something that she could enjoy, something safe, something tasty.
Peanut Butter Play Dough Recipe
Peanut Butter Play Dough Ingredients:
– 1 cup peanut butter
– 1/2 cup honey
– 2 cups powdered sugar
Directions:
Dump all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. I used my Kitchen Aid stand mixer after an unsuccessful attempt at mixing it up with a spoon. I turned the mixer on low and it was ready in no time.
Obviously, you don’t want to have this around children with a nut allergy. I wouldn’t recommend carrying it to school. This one is best to make and play with at home.
I love that this recipe doesn’t turn out sticky at all. It is a little greasy from the peanut butter and it will make a mess, so we keep it at the kitchen table. It tastes wonderful and both kids enjoyed playing AND snacking!
Have you tried peanut butter play dough?

I bet it was delish! It looks yummy 🙂 Haha….fun too
Yummm OH! My girl is barely 2 and I’m not crazy about her “licking the spoon” with cake batters and cookies dough so this is perfect!!!!
Thank you!
This is awesome. I did a peanut butter play dough before but it used corn meal and wasn’t very smooth. This sounds much better.
That sounds super easy. It might have to go our craft list!! 🙂
sooo cool
I’m so doing this! What a great idea!!!
How fun! I would probably eat more than I created!
Oh yummy fun!
Love it! I have done edible paint before but hadn’t thought about play dough. genius!
Love it! Peanut Butter is expensive though! lol! I bet my son would eat it all rather than playing with it.
If we made this often, I’d probably buy off brand peanut butter just for it. You are right- it IS expensive!
This looks easy enough for even this non-crafty mama to do. Thanks!
Whit this looks like fun and I may try it with my Halle Grace! you are an awesome MOM! Proud of you!
Thank you, Mrs. Sizemore! I had a fabulous 3rd grade teacher to lead me in the right direction.. 🙂

I work with a little boy with Autism. His favorite food is peanut butter so this is PERFECT to work on his aversion to messy play! Thanks for the tips!
Your comment made me so happy. I hope it works out for him! 🙂
