No Heat Curls – Process Photos & Result

Now, I’m normally the last person to chat about hair, makeup, or fashion.  Thanks for Pinterest, I happened upon this no heat curls tutorial that I just had to try.  I’m lazy and I hate messing with my hair, so 10 minutes of work for beautiful curls that last?  Yep, I’m sold.  I even took photos of the process.

Yes, this is what I look like first thing in the morning.  FUN!

The first night I put my hair up right out of the shower.  The next morning, it was still soaking wet so I had to use the dryer.  I lost my curl, but had a ton of volume.  I have super thick hair, so I should have known it wouldn’t dry over night.

The second night, I dampened my hair by running my hands under water and then through my hair.  The next morning, I woke up to big, beautiful curls.  I used no product on my hair at all and those curls stayed for days.

After trying this out, I just had to share.  To achieve these curls with a curling iron takes me at least an hour.  If you have an elastic headband and access to some water, you can get these curls with less than 10 minutes of time.  The headband does all of the work while you sleep.

Have you tried no heat curls?  What are your favorite easy hair styles?

  1. That’s really cool! I wonder if it would work on super fine hair like mine. I think I’ll have to give it a go and see what comes out in the wash, so to speak. :)

  2. I can’t even comment because I’m too jealous of your hair right now!

  3. I need to know how to do this!! My hair (since having children) decided to get curly-ish (after being pin straight) however, if I don’t put a ton of product in it, it’ll fall. Or if I straighten it and it rains, it gets all wavy again. LOL Tell me your secrets!!

  4. Sexy morning pic ;)

  5. Nice! I’ll have to try that!

  6. just watched a bunch of videos how to do this, i think my daughter would love it

  7. Love it! My hair is stick straight and won’t curl for nothing so if I happen to catch it on a good day then I always take a pic of it lol!

  19. Wow! Your hair looks awesome!

  20. I love it! I tried it after you posted on FB and sent me a link. I had to use product in my hair but it worked. I tired it on my girls too (5 and 4 years old) … they loved it. Better than a curling iron with them for sure (especially after my 4 year burned her hand the last time she wanted me curl her hair when she grabbed to see what I was doing. ugh.)

  21. Ok that is awesome! I am not one to talk about hair and such but love these pics girl! Beautiful!

  22. Your hair is beautiful.

  23. How gorgeous! If I wasn’t already a curly headed girl, this would be super great!

  25. UBER JEALOUS RIGHT NOW.

I have naturally curly (I.e. Crazy) hair… So wish i could have big curls like that!

  26. My hair is straighter than straight, so I’ve wanted curls my whole life. After I damaged my hair badly with a perm over 10 years ago, I haven’t so much as used a blow dryer on it. I think I’m going to try this! :D
