Check Out My New Home

If you haven’t already, please click over and check out my new blog! Not only did I get a total redesign, I also made the switch from Blogger to WordPress. While I thought (key word there- thought) Blogger was an okay platform and I was extremely comfortable with it, I made the decision to move based on community. A lot of you were having trouble commenting on my old blog and it can be a time consuming process to comment on Blogger.

I am head-over-heels for my new design and WordPress.  Seriously, I am kicking myself for not making the switch sooner.  I thought it would be totally over my head, but for the most part, I was able to jump right in and start posting.  I did have some major help with my transfer and all of the programming.  I know nothing about the coding or back-end processes of WordPress.  If you are scared of making the switch, you seriously need to chat with the fabulous Lindsay from BloggityBlah.  She will put you at ease and help you every step of the way.  She transferred all of my posts, comments, and answered all of my questions.  I am so, so glad I hired her after receiving a recommendation from another blogger!

My favorite part of the switch is the handy navigation bar.  I’ve had so much fun getting it set up, browsing old posts, updating categories- all the things I was originally scared of have turned into fun!  I’m still tweaking them and they’ll probably be a work in progress for quite some time.  For now though, check them out and let me know what you think.  I hope it makes it a lot easier to find posts that interest you!

Maybe next I’ll learn how to use a PDF converter and combine PDF files.  Then I could make some of my own printables for our early learning activities. Speaking of which, we started on our first Before Five in a Row book this week.  After this week, I’ve decided we’ll probably spend two weeks on each book instead of the suggested 5 days.  I’ll update on that later.

Hope y’all have a great weekend!
