My regular readers have probably noticed that I’ve started sharing more kid friendly activities lately. Bryson is at such a fun age (2!) and he’s learning so much every day. He still has a very short attention span, but we enjoy doing fun things together- even if it doesn’t last very long.
I recently received a new book to help me come up with fun games and activities. It’s titled 101 Offline Activities You Can Do With Your Childand it’s most definitely a keeper! It includes games and activities for kids of all ages and that can be done at home, out and about, or on the go. The awesome thing about the activities in this book is that you probably have almost everything you need to do them. I’ve found several fun games that are perfect for toddlers.
Each page tells you exactly what you need and lists a category. For instance, coffee filter painting. You’ll need coffee filters, water paints or food coloring, brushes, and newspaper. The category for this activity is “in the kitchen.” I bet you probably have all of those things on hand too!
Other categories include anytime/ any place, at home, on the road, and out and about. Some only require your time while you’ll need supplies for others. A few that I have marked to try are Macaroni Math, Vegetable Art, Tunnel Vision, Patterns, and Number Hunt. I have everything we need for each of those activities without spending a dime.
If you need some ideas or just want to unplug for a while, the 101 Offline Activities You Can Do With Your Child book can help you out. Your kids will enjoy the time with you and have fun exploring and learning all while having fun!
I received this book free of charge in exchange for my honest review. No monetary compensation was provided. All opinions remain my own, as always.
