I have read freezer cooking posts for the past few months. When I first came across them, we were still in the process of working on our house and living with my parents. I made a list of things I wanted to try out when we moved and freezer cooking was near the top of that list.
About two weeks ago, I finally dove in! I chopped up my vegetables and put my meat in the refrigerator to thaw for the next day. These two things were huge time savers. I cook with bell pepper and onion a lot- probably around 4 meals each week. I like to buy a bag of onions and about 5 peppers, chop them up, and keep them ready in the ‘fridge. Having the meat thawed and ready to cook in the morning also saved a lot of microwaving time.
In total, I spent about 3.5 hours cooking and I ended up with 12 meals ready to go. Bryson was able to “help” me and we had fun!
Here are a few photos from during the day. I am proud to say that by the end of the night, everything was put away, dishes were done, and the floors were swept and mopped!
