I am absolutely loving this Spring Cleaning Party hosted by Simple Mom. You will not hear me say I love anything about cleaning too often. I feel like I have accomplished more in the past two days than I have in the past five months. I look forward to working on each room and I hope I can stay motivated and energetic for the entire party!
Spring Cleaning: Day Two
The task for today was the living room. I ended up completely rearranging our living room, dusting it, cleaning the glass, and sweeping. It ended up taking me about four hours on and off. My main problem was simply figuring out how I wanted the furniture. Then, there was the T.V. It was nasty, I’m talking we’ll probably breath a lot better now, because I swept and cleaned so much dust and dirt from on and behind it. I also threw away two pillows that had seen much better days. I plan to replace those with some bright & cheery pillows.
In addition to cleaning, I also listed a lot of baby things for sale on a local trading group. I’d love to get out of having a yard sale by getting rid of this stuff before hand. If it doesn’t sell online, we will have a yard sale and what doesn’t sell there will be donated. I will not bring any of these things back into my home.
I also would like to mention that at the moment, we are a two family household. This living room is nothing like I want *my* living room, this is my parent’s living room. Definitely not my style and much too crowded for my tastes, but it is what it is and I made the most out of it.
These aren’t the best photos, but I’ll take more tomorrow.
>You do feel like you can breah better. I did behind our t.v. today too. It was scary!
Great job on the clean up! Cute baby too!
>Oh no… did you throw out the baby too? 😉 It looks good. And sharing space is always hard. Hang in there! I know what you mean about doing more in the past two days. I couldn’t believe how excited i got about cleaning… craziness.
>I was wondering the same thing – if the baby went out with the clutter (LOL!). Looks really good!
